Hello and welcome to Saint Joan of Arc School. Thank you for taking the time to visit us at our home on the internet! Whether you are a current school family, prospective family, parishioner, alumni or just stumbled upon us, you will find plenty of information that will give you a picture of everything SJA!
We are a school of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, offering Kindergarten through 8th grade, in a stable, friendly, faith-based environment. Located in South Park, approximately 15 miles from Downtown Pittsburgh, Saint Joan of Arc School, now in our 55rd year, has educated generations of young men and women who have been prepared, not only for high school, but for life. Our students learn more than just academics, but how to live their lives as witnesses of the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ.
Our beautiful school building boasts a fully updated computer lab, with 25 flat screen monitors and a wireless internet connection throughout. Our students attend technology specific classes twice a week and our classroom teachers use the lab regularly to supplement their daily curriculum. Our building includes a fully automated library, one classroom for each grade level, a cafeteria that is also used for assemblies and is connected to our parish church and social hall. Our building is secured throughout the entire day with all visitors to the parish facilities required to enter through the main school entrance.
Our fully certified, diocesan accredited teachers bring the world to their classrooms, enriching our curriculum with a unique mix of modern and time tested methods. Our students work together in play and prayer through our unique buddy system. Our faithful and dedicated school families support the staff and students through their tireless volunteering. Our parish family provides meaningful support and is honored to have such a strong school as part key component of parish life.
