It is suggested that each child has a folder (any two-pocket type, with the bottom pockets, would be fine) and a backpack.
When buying coats, boots, etc. for your child, please take your child with you. Make sure they can button the buttons, or tie the ties. It is a good idea to put a hook or loop in your child's coat so that it can be easily hung. Mark your child's name in sweaters, coats, boots, and folders.
Please review health and safety habits with your child. Be sure your child knows the basic habits of cleanliness, such as flushing the toilet and washing hands.
Practice name, address, and phone numbers. We will be working on all makes of this throughout the year and practice makes perfect.
When sending money / checks to school, please send in an envelope marked with your child's name and room number.
When your child arrives home each day, request to see daily papers. There will be papers coming home each day unless a special event takes place. A School newsletter will be sent home weekly which will provide information for the upcoming week.
After an absence, please send in a note with an explanation. If your child is NOT going home in the usual dismissal manner, a NOTE IS NECESSARY.
Help your child establish patterns for following directions by giving simple directions for doing various tasks at first, then gradually increase the level of difficulty.
